About Clutch
Clutch is a directory for service providers, not software products. Its aim is to connect agencies with companies that are looking for providers for specific projects. Clutch is the most important directory for a service provider to be on.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can Blastra submit my product to Clutch?
- Not yet. Clutch is on Blastra's roadmap and will be added to the supported directories in a future update. Once it goes live in the service, we'll handle submissions to Clutch the same way as currently supported directories — account setup, listing copy, and approval follow-up — without you doing extra work.
- Is Clutch free?
- Yes, listings on Clutch are free. Clutch also offers paid upgrades that build out a more complete profile — fuller profiles give AI search and LLM citation engines more to work with, and the upgrade matters most when you want to prioritize Clutch for active review collection. The free listing alone captures the baseline SEO and discovery benefit.
- Do I need reviews to get listed on Clutch?
- No, reviews are not a prerequisite. Clutch accepts customer reviews and they accumulate over time, but the listing itself goes live without them. Your review strategy on Clutch should depend on what your direct competitors in your category are doing — if they're collecting reviews actively, you should too.
- Does Clutch accept beta or waitlist products?
- No — Clutch only accepts products that are publicly available. Beta and waitlist-stage products are rejected because the reviewers want to see something they can actually try before approving the listing. Wait until you've moved out of private beta and the product is purchasable before submitting.
- What's the approval time for Clutch?
- Approval time on Clutch varies, but most submissions go live within 3-7 days based on what we've seen. The window depends on directory queue depth and how clean the submission is — incomplete forms, missing assets, or non-English websites all push the timeline toward the longer end of the range.
- Can I list my software on Clutch?
- No. Clutch accepts service listings only — agencies, consultancies, and other service-based companies. Software, SaaS, and other product businesses won't be approved or won't match the audience's buyer intent. Look at product-focused directories like G2 or Capterra instead if you sell software rather than services.
